Students from SECs joins this year’s NSU Community Fest.

This month, NSU celebrated the 19th annual Community Fest in which the Palm Beach SGA was in attendance.  The new and returning SGA members of each of the Student Educational Centers, were given booths in order to give back to the community on the main campus in Davie, FL.  The Palm Beach SGA decided to decorate their booth in a Mardi Gras theme including many iconic items often associated with the celebration (beads, candy and masks).  In addition to having the beads, candy and masks, to attempt to draw in members of the community, the Palm Beach SGA did face painting and brought along a bean bag toss game.  It was a great success!  The group members who were painting faces were busy the entire time, often having a line of multiple children, and parents eagerly waiting.  The children loved playing the bean bag toss game after becoming unofficial sharks (having a shark painted onto their cheeks) and winning any of the prizes that were offered at the booth.
