February 1-3, 2013 Jacksonville, FL
This trip will also be a collaborative project between NSU main campus and NSU Jacksonville. We will be working with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Jacksonville.

March 3-9, 2013 New Orleans, LA
The Office of Student Leadership and Civic Engagement’s service trip program began with a trip to New Orleans three years ago. During this trip, SLCE partnered with Habitat for Humanity of Greater New Orleans and worked on a house for victims of Hurricane Katrina. Students were also able to experience the cultural significance of the city through various activities. Annually this trip and work is continued.

March 29-31, 2013 Key West, FL
The Office of Student Leadership and Civic Engagement will again partner with the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary for a second year for a weekend service experience. The trip will consist of volunteering with the park, a team dinner and provides the students a chance to explore Duval Street before traveling back to NSU.

May 5-12, 2013 Mirebalais, Haiti
The Office of Student Leadership and Civic Engagement will partner with L’ Ecole de Choix (The School of Choice) to work with the children of the school during the day in a variety of capacities as well as work with adult learners during some of the evenings. NSU students will also have an opportunity to experience the beauty of Haiti by visiting local parks in the more rural parts of the country.
