The Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences opened its 2012–2013 Premier Series with performances of You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, the classic musical centered on the Peanuts comic-strip characters created by Charles M. Schulz.

NSU’s two-week engagement featured a cast of undergraduate student performers, set designers, directors, and stage manager. Hundreds of NSU community members came to campus for the family-friendly theatrical production.

Following the closing performance on Oct. 7, the student cast had a visit from a special guest: Arthur Whitelaw, who produced the original 1967 production of You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown as well as its Tony Award-winning revival in 1999.

Whitelaw called the college’s Peanuts-inspired production, “one of the freshest takes I’ve seen of the show.”
