Akshat Bhargava, a Master of International Business Administration student at the Huizenga Business School, recently completed an internship with DHL Global Forwarding in Strategy Development and Project Management.
During his internship Akshat led various projects for the company in Latin America. He started by leading the company’s perishable goods initiative, and was later given increased responsibility for managing DHL’s trucking project between Mexico and the United States. In addition, Akshat was responsible for coordinating and preparing the company’s budget for 2011.
Akshat was recognized by the company numerous times throughout his internship. Specifically, he was credited for drafting a six-pillar strategy and a business case for DHL’s perishable goods. In fact, after the completion of his internship, Akshat was asked to return to the company and perform independent consulting.
“I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to work for DHL. I was exposed to the overall business of the company, and got a chance to work directly with its C-Level executives and management teams spread across the globe,” said Akshat.
