There was so much happening during Welcome Week at NSU-Miami/Kendall. It seems like no matter where you turned Joe Pokraka, Coordinator of Student Affairs, was giving something away for free! Sandwiches, Robeks smoothies, NSU planners…nothing was off limits. Well, maybe the new 46” flat screen TV for the Student Lounge. How did NSU Miami-Kendall cap off the week? The Miami Student Government Association (SGA) held their always famous 3rd Annual Pool Shark Tournament. NSU students and staff took a break from class and socialized at Gatsby’s Kendall. Even Razor took time out of his busy schedule to make an appearance. It was an awesome night of food, music, pool and fun. They even had a chocolate fountain with all the fixings. It was a great opportunity to welcome new students and welcome back those returning. If you missed the boat on this event, don’t worry. There will be plenty more to follow.
