Join the Circle of Friends at the NSU Alvin Sherman Library on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 in the Cotilla Gallery on the 2nd floor for the presentation “Vice of Miami During the 80’s.” Sponsored by The Florida Humanities Council, Guest Speaker Pedro Medina León will talk about the rise and fall of the Magic City, and how the television series Miami Vice revitalized the city and defined its style.
An award winning author, speaker and editor, León is the author of the acclaimed novel Varsovia (Florida Book Award 2017), Marginal and Tour: una vuelta por la cultura popular de Miami.
