On October 24th, the NSU Title IX staff will be facilitating a One Love Foundation production entitled, ESCALATION. This film-based discussion will open your eyes to the warning signs of intimate partner abuse within the university setting and will leave you with strategies for recognizing relationship violence and supporting peers, family, and friends who may have this experience. The film follows a college-aged couple through the very sweet beginnings of their relationship and shows how seemingly minor unhealthy behaviors can escalate into abuse. After the film, workshop participants will be invited to dive into a discussion about the film – led by a trained facilitator – discussing the early warning signs of relationship abuse and what you can do if you witness or experience these warning signs.
