T.Y. Okosun, Ph.D., graduate of the doctoral program in the Department of Conflict Analysis and Resolution (DCAR) in NSU’s School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS) and Napuess Kibiswa, doctoral candidate in DCAR co-authored an article published in Contemporary Justice Review: Issues in Criminal, Social and Restorative Justice. The article, entitled, “Human Rights Violations and Genocide in the Democratic Republic of the Congo,” focused on the massacres that took place there between 1996 and 2003.
Okosun is a faculty member in the Justice Studies Department at Northern Illinois University. He is also the past-president (2010-2012) of the Justice Studies Association (JSA). Kibiswa was a Fulbright Scholar and Gandhi Fellow while studying for his M.A. in Peace and Justice Studies at the Joan B. Kroc School of Peace Studies at the University of San Diego.
