Stigma Fighters: Mental Health Awareness Festival (March 11)

The College of Psychiatric and Neurologic Pharmacists (CPNP), an organization at the College of Pharmacy, invites you to the Stigma Fighters: Mental Health Awareness Festival. Taking place on Saturday, March 11, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the Alvin Sherman Library Quad. Featuring music, art, food, and fun; the festival is free and open to the public.

CPNP is collaborating with other student organizations such as the NeuroPsych Club from the College of Osteopathic Medicine, College of Psychology, organizations from the College of Undergraduate Studies. Community partners such as the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Broward County chapter, the Depression Bipolar Support Alliance, Henderson Clinic, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), and other organizations that strive to help people with mental illness as well as their families, will be present.

This event aims to open the dialogue on mental illness and address the stigma attached to mental illness, which affects more than one in four individuals at some point in their lives. It will provide a fun and safe environment for families, include hands on activities, education, and resources.
