SHSS Alum Heads the War Prevention Initiative and Presents at IPRA 2014 Conference

Patrick Hiller, Ph.D.Patrick Hiller, Ph.D., doctoral graduate of the Department of Conflict Analysis and Resolution (DCAR) in NSU’s School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS) is the Executive Director of the War Prevention Initiative (WPI). Their vision is: “a world beyond war by 2-3- and humanity united by a global system of peace with justice.” The organization was founded in 2011 and is a project of the Jubitz Family Foundation with one of its core projects being the Global Peace System. Hiller has been the Executive Director since its inception.

Hiller is also an adjunct instructor in the Conflict Resolution Program at Portland State University. He is a member of the Governing Council of the International Peace Research Association (IPRA) and is on the Board of Director of the International Peace Research Association Foundation. Hiller presented at the IPRA 2014 Conference held in Istanbul, Turkey. He presented and discussed The Global Peace System.
