Share Your Shark Pride on NBC6! (Sept 29)

NBC6 College Week 2016

Come to “College Week” at

Don Taft University Center on Sept. 29

NSU’s Weeks of Welcome may have come to a close, but there are still a lot of ways to keep the NSU Shark Pride flowing. One way is by participating in an amazing media opportunity: On Thursday, September 29, from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m., NBC6 will be reporting LIVE from NSU’s Don Taft University Center for a special College Week feature.

Come to the Taft Center lobby by the Shark Fountain dressed in your most spirited NSU gear and be ready to make some NOISE! Join Razor, the NSU cheerleaders, your friends and colleagues at this Shark pride-fest. And don’t forget to bring NSU or Shark signs, wear your Greek gear, show your organization pride, or even dress as a giant shark. Let’s show South Florida and beyond how remarkable NSU’s students, faculty and staff really are.

NBC6 anchors Jawan Strader and Jackie Nespral will be doing live interviews with Athletic Director Mike Mominey and Greg Brown, head coach of NSU’s baseball team — NCAAA Division II National Champions.

Throughout the newscast, viewers will have the chance to learn more about the university through feature stories on NSU’s work with the Broward County Sea Turtle Conservation program; the NSU Cell Therapy Institute and its new approach to prevent and treat diseases like cancer, and how getting an M.B.A. program at our H. Wayne Huizenga College of Business and Entrepreneurship can provide the foundation to start a successful business.

During the broadcast, NSU will be giving away lots of goodies to NSU students. We will be using #NSUonNBC6 for the event, so be sure share photos with your friends!

NBC6 will also feature other local colleges– but we want to show them why NSU is THE BEST. Thursday afternoon, September 29th, will be our day to shine and we need your help!

Share this invitation with your students, friends and colleagues.

GO SHARKS!
