The Huzienga Business School is pleased to announce a scholarship competition for students interested in attending 2011’s Entrepreneurship Summer Camp and Personal Enrichment Program (E.S.C.A.P.E.). This full tuition scholarship is valued at $550. To be eligible, students will submit an original essay based on one of three possible topics. Scholarship recipient(s) will be selected by a panel of judges based on the best articulated business idea. The contest is open to all high school students, grades 9-12 for the 2010-2011 school year. Essays and related forms must be received on or before February 7, 2011. Dates for E.S.C.A.P.E. 2011 are June 20-24 (Session 1) and July 18-22 (Session 2).
Eligibility:
Applicants must be in high school, grades 9-12, for the 2010-2011 school year.
How to Apply:
Applicants must submit, by email or regular mail, the following materials:
- A completed Scholarship Application
- A signed Code of Conduct Form
- A completed Recommendation Form
- A typed personal essay between 200-250 words on one of the following topics pertaining to a business the applicant would like to start and that will be the focus of their project(s) at E.S.C.A.P.E. 2011:
o My Great Idea —a product or service you think should exist but doesn’t.
o They Should Do It This Way – an improvement you would make to an existing product or service.
o From Hobby to Business – your hobby and how you would turn it into a business.
