On January 28th, 2017, a group of brothers from the Beta Lambda Chapter of Phi Delta Chi professional fraternity at Nova Southeastern University College of Pharmacy worked with Feeding South Florida by inspecting, sorting, and repackaging 37,976 pounds of food, which will provide 31,646 meals to people in need.
The event organizer Dayana Martinez says, “As a volunteer at Feeding South Florida what I liked the most was the welcoming and friendly atmosphere around us. It felt heartwarming to see everyone charismatic, full of energy and eager to help others. It was a unique experience to work together with my brothers alongside with many volunteers of all ages. Assisting our community and helping the less fortunate are within the core values of our fraternity, and we will continue supporting this organization to help end hunger.”
Phi Delta Chi is proud to be partner with Feeding South Florida whose primary goal is to end hunger in South Florida, and represent NSU College of Pharmacy by actively contributing to this great cause and enhancing the lives of many families in our community.
