  1. While the addition of Downtown Ft. Lauderdale may be great for some students on their leisure time, there are many of us that have classes on Saturday mornings at 8:00am. Saturday shuttles do not start running until 9am. I don’t understand a system that starts transportation service an hour after the first classes begin on campus. Also, for those of us that have class until 8 or 10pm, having to wait for a half hour or more for the shuttle on the dark campus is incredibly unsafe. No idea how this made complete sense to anyone.

  2. Christa,

Thank you for your comments concerning the Shark Shuttle System. The Downtown Ft Lauderdale Route will be commencing in the Fall Semester. The times we have set were generated from student feedback. If the times do not work out, I am sure the routes can be adjusted, but we will not know this until we commence service. There is no need to wait on the Shark Shuttle for extended periods of time. Just check the Shark APP and you will be able to see ahead of time when the shuttle is arriving at your selected stop. Weekends time average about 26 minutes and weekdays 24 minutes. Please call the office at 954-262-8871 if you have any other questions.

  3. Why does the shark shuttle NEVER stop at the University Park Plaza. I’ve waited for at least an hour and had to walk back in this heat. The NextBus stop is very inaccurate and doesn’t give predictions at all…

  4. Nicole,

The Shark Shuttle does stop in UPP. The Evening Route Bus stops at UPP (6pm to 11:00pm) and the Shopper Route (10:00am to 9:00pm Mon-Fri) stops at UPP. You should be able to access this via the Shark APP and see the time predictions. Another option is to ride either the Rolling Hills Express, get off behind the Bookstore. Or take the Rolling Hills Express 2 Route, get off at the Terry Building (HPD) and walk over (across the street) to UPP. The NEXTBUS predictions should be available for these routes. Please call us at 954-262-8871 if you have additional questions.

    Anthony
