The INIM is pleased to host Gabriel Suciu, Ph.D., at the monthly INIM Research Seminar Series on Friday, November 3, 2017 from noon–1:30 p.m. at the Center for Collaborative Research on the 2nd floor, room 242.
Gabriel Suciu, associate professor of public health in the Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine and doctoral biostatistician, focuses his work on teaching, research, and service. His consulting experience led to numerous research projects in medical research and publications with the International Journal of Obesity and Related Metabolic Disorders, and the Journal of the American Osteopathic Association. Suciu’s research interests also include secondary data analysis, survival analysis, logistic regression, and clinical trials.
Suciu is an experienced biostatistician, with more than 30 years of experience in clinical research. He is a longtime member of the American Statistical Association and the Southeast Florida Cancer Control Collaborative. As a provider of professional expertise in (applied statistics in cancer clinical trials, chronic diseases, screening of population, surveys, bio-assays and bio-markers), he serves on several committees such as the External Advisory Committee for the Department of Epidemiology-Biostatistics School of Public Health in Florida International University, and the Graduate Medical Education Committee-Preventive Medicine Residency Program in Palm Beach County Health Department.
