Nova Southeastern University and NSU’s College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (CAHSS) hosted the last leg of Lauren Books’ “Walk in my Shoes.” This was the seventh year Books has done this walk in support of survivors of child sexual abuse. The walk of 500 miles has typically been from Miami to Tallahassee, however, this year the walk was reversed and began in Tallahassee. The last leg of the walk began at NSU and ended in Miami. It launched Lauren’s Kids’ Guide to Hope and Healing, a resource for families dealing with a child’s disclosure of sexual abuse.
