After completing the first week of classes, perhaps you have a question or two for your professor. Maybe you’d like to get to know your classmates in an informal setting, too. The college’s Academic Division Socials will allow you to do just that.
On Wednesday, Aug. 31, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m., each of the four Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences academic divisions will host concurrent meet-and-greet receptions inside the Don Taft University Center at NSU. This is a great opportunity to mingle with faculty members and fellow students outside of the classroom. Learn more about your division and some of the great opportunities that await you in the college.
Specific meeting locations are as follows:
- Division of Humanities/Office of the Dean—Arena, Club Room, second floor
- Division of Math, Science, and Technology—Arena, North Court, second floor
- Division of Performing and Visual Arts—Performing and Visual Arts Wing, third floor
- Division of Social and Behavioral Sciences—James and Nan Farquhar Second Floor Lounge
These socials are free to attend, and refreshments will be served. So, save the date and start the fall semester off right at the college’s Academic Division Socials!
