Lean Six Sigma White Belt Training Offered Free to Public

TAMPA, Fla.– A Lean Six Sigma White Belt training program designed for professionals to expand their quality process management skills and knowledge, will be offered free to the public May 9 at Nova Southeastern University’s (NSU) Tampa campus.

The four-hour workshop starts at 9 a.m. and is presented by Elements of Gemba Consulting, LLC.  It is designed to provide the core concepts of the Lean Six Sigma, with a focus on productivity and quality improvement tools for any type of process. White Belt training makes it easy for participants to assess the operational aspects within their “line-of-sight” work responsibilities.

Participants in the program will receive training in problem- solving methods and tools used to enhance their fundamental process improvement skills, and their application in the workplace. Taught with small group interaction and hands-on exercises, the workshop also equips participants to take the skills they have learned back to their organizations in order to create financial gains as well as value for both the company and its customers.

Topics to be covered include:

  • History, background and integration of Lean Six Sigma methodologies
  • Benefits of Lean Six Sigma
  • DMAIC (a highly effective problem solving method)
  • The Eight Wastes
  • Lean Six Sigma metrics and tools for continuous improvement
