The Rebirth Project (a non-profit that assists victims of domestic violence) along with the Office of Student Media is hosting the 1st Annual “Handfuls of Hope” toy distribution for 500 under-served children in both Broward and Dade counties. This event will allow parents to pick out 2 toys per child from our toy shop while the children are entertained by our volunteers and Santa. We will be joined by local celebrities as well as a few Dolphin’s players.  We need your support, we are looking for donations of toys for children ages 0-14 yrs of age. We are also looking for volunteers for the event on December 18 from 3-10 p.m. (or any part of that time) to help run the toy shop and the children’s activity space. The event will be held in the Carl DeSantis Building Atrium.

Toys can be dropped off at Radio X (Rosenthal Building room 140) and SUTV (Student Affairs Building aka ASA Building room 102b).  Please join us in making this event memorable. For additional information Barbara Archat (954) 262-2602.
