Dance Awareness Day
Take a free class in Afro-Brazilian dance as part of NSU’s Dance Awareness Day on Nov. 4, 2013.

Get ready to move at the second annual Dance Awareness Day. All NSU students, faculty, and staff members are invited to join the community for a free day of dance, hosted by the NSU Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences. Attend college-level classes, meet with faculty members, and learn about professional opportunities in the field.

9:00–10:00 a.m. | Registration and Optional Tour of Facilities/Campus

10:00–11:00 a.m. | Ballet Class (Room 233) and Afro-Brazilian Class (Room 220)

11:00 a.m.–Noon | Jazz Dance Class (Room 233) and Modern Dance Class (Room 220)

Noon–12:30 p.m. | Lunch Break

12:30–1:00 p.m. | “Careers in Dance” Discussion (James and Nan Farquhar Second Floor Lounge)

1:00–2:00 p.m. | Dance Composition Class (Room 233) and Dance Improvisation Class (Room 220)

2:00–2:30 p.m. | Q&A with Guest Choreographer Pioneer Winter (Room 220)

All are welcome to attend Dance Awareness Day, and no experience is necessary to participate. Come dressed and prepared to move!
