Calling All NSU Tampa Faculty, Staff, and Students

WE NEED YOUR HELP WITH OUR RESEARCH STUDY ON FOREST BATHING!

  • What is this study about? 

The purpose of our study is to evaluate the effects of Forest Bathing on perceived quality of life within the NSU Tampa Bay Regional Campus (TBRC)  Academic Community. Forest Bathing is the act of immersing oneself in nature with the aim of achieving  an increased state of calm, reduced stress, and a greater sense of wellbeing.

  • Inclusion Criteria

To participate in this study, you must be a member of the NSU TBRC community. Faculty, Staff, and Students are welcome to participate. You may also participate if you are a friend or family member of someone in the NSU TBRC  Academic Community.

  • Exclusion Criteria

Those not listed as being a member of the NSU Tampa Bay Regional Campus Academic Community, to include family and/or friends of NSU Tampa Bay Regional Campus Faculty, Staff, or Students.

  • What can you expect?

Participation in at least one guided Forest Bathing session, with an experienced guide. Each session will last up to 90 minutes. Multiple sessions will be offered however only one session is required to participate in this study.

Participants will provide consent by completing a pre and post survey on perceived quality of life at the Forest Bathing site. Names will not be collected  on the surveys to maintain anonymity of individual survey results.

Participants must provide their own transportation to the designated Forest Bathing site located within 10 miles of the TBRC.

Participants must be willing to wear a mask (when we are unable to practice physical distancing), practice hand hygiene, and physically distance themselves from one another during Forest Bathing sessions.

No compensation will be provided
