CAHSS Faculty Acts and Directs in Local and Regional Theatre

Mark Duncan, M.F.A., faculty and chair in the Department of Performing and Visual Arts (DPVA) in NSU’s College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (CAHSS) has been sharing his talents with audiences in South Florida and Ohio. Duncan directed Book of Liz at the Thinking Cap Theatre at the Vanguard in Fort. Lauderdale.  Thinking Cap Theatre is a professional theatre company and produces several shows each year. Duncan is the Managing Director/Associate Producer.  Book of Liz starred Elena Garcia, M.F.A., DPVA adjunct theatre instructor and production was designed by NSU alumnus Alexandra Calypso and Alyiece Moretto, NSU alumnus and DPVA Administrative Coordinator. Most recently, Duncan starred in “Waiting for Waiting for Godot,” at the Thinking Cap Theatre. The show was directed by Margaret Ledford, DPVA Theatre Technical Manager and set designed by Moretto.

Over the summer Duncan directed, “Taming of the Shew,” at Shakespeare at the Castle in Alliance, Ohio. This year was their second annual festival. Shakespeare at the Castle is performed live on the grounds of Glamorgan Castle.
