Have you started writing your novel? Want help from a local writing association? Join the Florida chapter of Mystery Writers of America at our library for writing workshops to improve your skills and encourage creativity.

So, you want to be an AUTHOR, but you don’t know where to start? Raquel (R.V.) Reyes will give you resources and share her personal stories of successes and failures. Have you ever asked: Should I self-publish? How do I get an agent? Do I need an MFA? What genre am I? If you DON’T have the answers then DO come to this workshop.

Raquel (R.V.) Reyes is a member of Mystery Writers of America and Sisters in Crime. Her novel Jeweler’s Mark won an International Latino Book award. She is currently working on a Middle Grades story. Follow her on twitter @writerRVR , on instagram @LatinxMermaid, and on her website rvreyes.com

Gigi Santos, wedding ring designer and diamond appraiser, is looking forward to her ten-year high school reunion. She is trying to be a better, less gossipy person, but Lourdes, her BFF since forever, has not matured past teenage pettiness. Cover boy–handsome Detective Carlos Garcia comes into the picture to investigate a year-old burglary at Gigi’s jewelry business. They flirt, and sparks fly. Gigi is sure she will have him on her arm as her reunion date. That is, until her BFF becomes the prime suspect in the murder of the reunion’s organizer.

Please RSVP here.
