October 6th to the 13th was a nationally proclaimed week dedicated to the physician assistant (PA) profession. This year the motto was to expand quality health care and the students at the Orlando NSU PA school program did just this. Though the students were celebrating the profession they wanted to help others as well. The class had three drives during this week. They collected perishable items for a local food bank, toiletries and cleaning supplies for an abuse home for women and children as well as a funds drive for the national Physician Assistant Foundation. The program and students were dedicated to give to others as well as thank each other for being part of the NSU PA family and they had a rewarding week in many ways!
