Aid in Fighting the Breast Cancer Battle at NSU Orlando

The month of October throughout America is known as Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Breast cancer accounts for one in every three cancer diagnosis in women in the United States.  About 200,000 women will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer this year and another 40,000 will die from breast cancer. On October 27th, 2010 a group of NSU Orlando Physician Assistant (PA) students participated in the Susan G. Komen race for the cure 5K. The NSU Orlando PA Group single handedly raised $660 for breast cancer research, a vital tool needed to find a cure.  At NSU Orlando, teamwork and support is a vital portion of their studies, their lives, and their carrier and were honored to be involved the Susan G. Komen cause for the cure.
