Getting around campus just got easier! Use NextBus, NSU’s new real-time passenger information system to find out when the next Shark Shuttle will be arriving near you.
NextBus lets you:
- Receive actual arrival information at bus stops or via the Internet.
- Receive alerts via your computer or handheld device that notify you before the NextBus arrives at your stop.
- Access real-time maps of the NextBus system that show actual vehicle locations.
For your convenience, there are:
- Twelve (12) LED signs installed at each shuttle shelter. These signs display real time arrival predictions for that stop. NSU can broadcast messages on these signs as well.
- Five (5) LCD TV Screens located at our most used stops which display a live campus map and show the real time arrival predictions for those stops. The screens are located in the Lobby of:
- Rolling Hills Apartments
- HPD Terry Building
- Sherman Library
- Don Taft University Center
- The Commons Residence Hall
You can access NextBus:
- From your computer:
- Visit www.nova.edu/nextbus.
- Select the direction of travel (Route) and the bus stop.
- View the arrival times for the next buses serving your selected stop.
- You may also view a real-time map of the bus locations by clicking on the “live map” link on the right side of the page.
- From your cell phone:
- Internet-enabled wireless phones allow you to browse the web. Your phone must have a mini-browser activated.
- Visit www.nova.edu/nextbus.
- Follow the prompts to select “Florida.”
- Then select “Nova.”
- Choose the bus route.
- OR
- Call (954) 556-6654 give a bus stop number and get arrival/departure information. Each bus stop is clearly labeled.
Text Message to 41411. Type in: nbus nova-se. Next bus will send you a message asking for the stop number. For example: if the stop number is 22, type: nbus nova-se 22.
