Waves of Wellness: Summer Programming
The Office of Student Affairs will be offering Summer 2021 programming centered around the wellness wheel called Waves of Wellness. The Wellness Wheel is a tool of self-exploration that can help you survey choices or situations that impact your overall wellness. Each week will focus on a specific dimension of wellness. The eight dimensions of wellness are: emotional health, personal development, intellectual wellness, physical wellness, mental wellness, social wellness, community wellness, and spirituality. If you are interested in identifying which aspect of the wellness wheel you need the most improvement in, complete the Waves of Wellness exercise. The Wellness Wheel referenced in the exercise can be downloaded here.

Week 2: Social Wellness
Can You Confront Someone Without Being Confrontational? (Wednesday, June 16, 11:00 a.m.–Noon)
- During this session, you will be able to learn and practice how to have a “difficult conversation” with a topic of your choice. You will walk away with tips for conversation starters, key management components, and pitfalls to avoid.

You, Me, and We (Wednesday, June 16, 12:00–1:00 p.m.)
- This presentation will overview the essential components of interpersonal communication and provide strategies for how to resolve conflict. Participants will practice setting boundaries based on personal experiences.

Week 3: Physical Wellness
Slow & Steady: Building a Post-Quarantine Routine (Monday, June 21, 1:00–2:00 p.m.)
- For many, the covid quarantine was so long they got in shape and back out. If this sounds like you, join us for a presentation on how to create a routine, where to find options online and nearby, and how to support your physical wellbeing through small steps to success.
