VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES WITH OCEAN EXCHANGE
OCEAN EXCHANGE is a 501c3 with the sole mission to help advance the adoption of solutions in the field of sustainability. We seek solutions with working prototypes that reduce waste and the use of nature’s resources while increasing productivity and respecting cultures around the world.
We are looing for volunteers to help with the organization of our event this year that will be hosted at multiple NSU Locations, at the Innovation Center, Guy Harvey Oceanographic Center, and the Art Museum. We need help with logistics regarding, delegates, our Slack channel, check-in, transportation, and social media. Some of these volunteers will benefit by getting to see the pitches for solutions in sustainability that are being provided by other students/professionals around the world and are competing here for large prizes to help fund their solutions.

Volunteer Opportunities – Descriptions
Check in Desk
Will be checking in delegates, moderators, and finalists
Delegate Services
Helping delegates handle the Ocean Exchange App, and helping them with on-site information
Transportation Concierge
Assisting with coordination of delegates going from downtown to Guy Harvey Oceanographic Center and back. Not a continuous task but will include a lot of on-call. Requires a mature communicator.
Slack Channel Assist
Moderating content on Ocean Exchange Slack Channel
Finalist Travel Assist
Communicating with finalists on their air travel and ground transportation to Fort Lauderdale. 90% is done in advance of the meeting plus some on-call on Saturday and Sunday.
Social Media Assist
Posts pre-determined content to Ocean Exchange LinkedIn and Twitter accounts, including photographs. Preferably done on-site during presentation with a live posting feel to it.
