Members of C.A.U.S.E. (Community Action using student empowerment) hosted their first C.A.U.S.E. fest event this past Thursday on the Library Quad. The event was filled with tug of war, balloon toss, NSU trivia (hosted by the Alumni Center) and of course a doughnut eating contest! With more than 125 students in attendance and raising more than $400 for Habitat for Humanity this event was a huge success. The NSU community took the night to enjoy each others company, friendly competition, tons of free food, and raising awareness for a good CAUSE! C.A.U.S.E. fest was a kick off to raise $85,000 in an effort to sponsor a NSU habitat for humanity house. C.A.U.S.E. is a student organization which collaborates with the office of Student Leadership and Civic Engagement to provide local, national, and international service trips to NSU students.
