SYSTEM OUTAGE NOTIFICATION

 

Incident Start Time: 9/1/2021 12:00 p.m.

Affected Systems: Lenovo laptops

Application/Integration description:  Wifi and Network Interface Card

Incident response Team: Client Technology Support and Network Services

Incident: Due to a recent Windows Update, some Lenovo laptops can no longer connect to WiFi.  The Windows Update has disabled the NIC.

Affected Campuses: All

Level of Severity: Critical 1, High 2, Moderate 3, Low 4

Impacted Audience: Students and faculty who personally own a Lenovo laptops

Workaround: None at this time.  Working on a solution.

Level one Support notified & downtime message communicated and posted:
Posting message on Sharklink and L1 Support

Expected Resolution Time: TBD

Who reported the issue: Students

Next Scheduled Update: 5:00 PM or sooner if resolution is found
