Students Win Regional Mock Trial Competition

The NSU Shepard Broad Law Center’s Black Law Student Association (BLSA) team of Alberto Polimeni, Ashley Dixon-Rolston, Citra Registe and Sharita Young recently won the southeast region BLSA Regional Mock Trial Competition held in Nashville, Tennessee. They took first place with an undefeated record and will advance to the BLSA National Competition in Atlanta.

The tournament consisted of 19 teams from around the southeast United States. The Law Center’s team defeated Emory, University of Miami, University of Florida, Wake Forest, and Florida State University. Professors of Law Tania Williams, J.D. and Florence Shu-Acquaye, J.D. along with Nikeisha Williams (’11) helped coach the team.
