The Travel Channel’s Emmy Award-winning travel and food series host, Anthony Bourdain, will be the 23rd guest for the Life 101..Personally Speaking Series, which will be held Feb. 22, 6:00-7:00 p.m., at the Rose and Alfred Miniaci Performing Arts Center, at NSU’s main campus in Davie, Fla.
“Life 101… Personally Speaking” series brings people of considerable accomplishments in their chosen fields of endeavor to the NSU campus. Through this series, models of success, dedication, perseverance, and achievement will share their perspectives and experiences with the Nova Southeastern University community.
More about Anthony Bourdain:
Born in New York City in 1956, Bourdain studied at Vassar College and graduated from the Culinary Institute of America before running kitchens at New York City’s Supper Club, One Fifth Avenue and Sullivan’s. His work has appeared in The New York Times, The Times of London, Gourmet, Black Book and The Independent, and he is a contributing authority for Food Arts magazine. As host of the Travel Channel’s Emmy-winning travel and food series Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations, currently in its eighth season, Bourdain travels the world seeking the authentic experiences and food that flavor the world’s cultures. He also is the host of Travel Channel’s The Layover (2011), a high-octane travel series that follows him to cities around the world as he gives viewers the inside skinny on where to eat, where to drink, and things to experience when on a 24-hour layover.
Life 101 Ticket Information
Tickets are free to all NSU students and faculty and staff members with a valid NSU ID. Tickets are available beginning February 1, 2012 at the Athletics and Student Affairs Reception Desk (located between the Rosenthal and Mailman-Hollywood buildings). Advanced calling to reserve/hold tickets is prohibited. Due to limited seating, a maximum of two tickets per person will be issued. A valid NSU employee/student ID must be shown at the time of issuance. Tickets are limited for this event—first-come, first-served.
