Evan Hoffman, Ph.D., assistant professor in the Department of Conflict Analysis and Resolution (DCAR) in NSU’s Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS) and DCAR doctoral student Zhiwei Wang recently presented at the 2015 South Asian Media & Cultural Studies Conference. The conference was held at Florida State University January 22-23, 2015 and had approximately 70 participants including students, faculty and community members
Hoffman’s presentation was titled: “Trust, Truth, Timing & Taking Risks: How to Advance the Peace Talks in Myanmar.” His teaching and research interests include conflict prevention and resolution, peacebuilding, mediation, international negotiation and ethno-political conflict.
Wang’s presentation was titled: “Building the future for Burma: Peace Mediation Center.” Wang received his bachelor’s degree in journalism from Ningbo Institute of Technology, Zhejiang University, China, and his master’s degree in mass communication from Murray State University, Kentucky.
