FORT LAUDERDALE – The Nova Southeastern women’s basketball team adds another W to the win column, taking down Rollins on Saturday afternoon from the Rick Case Arena. Nicole Scales led the Sharks with another solid outing, scoring 24 points in the 32-point victory.

How it Happened
First Half – Both teams kicked off the game trading baskets before a three-pointer from Kailyn Terrell jump started a 13-0 run for NSU with three minutes left in the quarter. Aubrey Stupp capped off the run with a layup to send the Sharks into the second quarter with a 22-11 lead. The Tars battled back and brought their deficit to five points but back-to-back buckets from Zeyno Seren and Scales put the Sharks back up 10. With two seconds left in the half, India Shepherd knocked down a three-pointer to extend NSU’s lead to 13 heading into the break.
Second Half – At the 4:00 minute mark, a quick 8-0 run capped off by a three-pointer from Scales gave the Sharks a 22-point lead, their biggest lead of the game. The offensive onslaught continued as back-to-back buckets from Alana Ellis and Terrell sent the Sharks into the final frame with a 62-41 lead. The Sharks picked up the defensive intensity in the fourth quarter and cruised to a dominant 85-53 SSC victory over the Rollins Tars.
