Attendance at Sharkapalooza – NSU’s annual welcome-back event for incoming and returning Sharks – jumped 35 percent from last year, to more than 630 NSU students this year.
“We saw over 60 student organizations tabling, many student performances, and great Glow in the Dark after party!” said Sean Pepin, assistant director of the Office of Student Activities, which coordinates Sharkapalooza.
This year’s Sharkapalooza raffle grand prize – a Get-Away for Two, including airline tickets and hotel to anywhere in the continental U.S. or Canada– went to NSU student, Chanel Shabtai.
Chanel is a freshman with Biology major and lives in Goodwin.
