“We can all help reduce the number of hate crimes by speaking out against these heinous acts and educating people in our sphere of influence,” said Martavis T. Clarke, J.D. Candidate, 2012, vice-president & treasurer of the Shepard Broad Law Center’s LAMBDA United chapter. “We hope that this venue will provide an opportunity to shed more light on this issue, bring our community closer together and unite against hate crimes. Even one death as a result of hate crimes is too many.”

LAMBDA United is committed to educating the public on hate crimes with the hope of ending the abuse. If rumors can be dispelled and the ignorance eradicated the discrimination can cease to exist. The proceeds from the event will be given to the national organization, Fight Out Loud: http://www.fightoutloud.org
