Student leaders from all six NSU Regional Campuses in Florida assembled in Jacksonville, FL for the 4th Annual Regional Campus SGA Retreat. Members of SGA were able to participate in training sessions in topics ranging from Recruitment and Marketing, to hearing about ways to ensure that they take of their own wellness so that they might more effectively serve their fellow students.
Participants also engaged in break-out sessions where they identified issues that impacted students across the Regional Campus system, and discussed ways they could collaborate with faculty, administration and each other to design solutions.
This retreat evolved based on feedback from previous SGA Officers indicating that there needed to be more opportunities for all Regional Campus student leaders to get together each year to generate fresh ideas for improving student life at their respective campuses. This group typically meets in February at the Davie campus, and then once again in August at one of the Regional Campuses. The theme for this year’s event was Servant Leadership.
