The Don Taft University Center will host NSU Commencement Ceremonies again this summer. As part of the logistics to successfully complete these ceremonies, the NSU RecPlex will house a number of activities prior, during, and after the ceremonies each day.
Due to the impact of hosting these activities, and with the support of the NSU Pan Student Government Association, the NSU RecPlex will SUSPEND operations on commencement days. We are expecting approximately 3,000 – 4,000 guests on these days which will make operating challenging and will not provide a conducive environment for recreating.
NOTE: On four occasions there will be two commencement ceremonies per day, hence RecPlex availability will be extremely limited on those days. Commencement days and times are as follows:
- Thursday, May 12th – 2 p.m.
- Friday, May 13th – 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
- Friday, May 20th – 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
- Friday, June 10th – 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
- Friday, June 17th – 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
- Friday, August 19th – 2 p.m.
At this time we are anticipating closures one to two hours prior to the start of each ceremony and remaining closed up to two hours after the ceremony ends.
