Russell Abratt, Ph.D., professor of marketing, has been named the 2014-2015 H. Wayne Huizenga College of Business and Entrepreneurship Professor of the Year.
This award is presented annually to a full-time faculty member who has served the university for at least ten years, has achieved national and/or international prominence and has earned a distinguished reputation through significant contributions to research and scholarship and exceptional instruction. Evidence of excellence was judged on scholarly productivity and in teaching/instruction.
“I am delighted to receive this recognition as I work with faculty who are equally deserving,” said Abratt. “I appreciate the support given to me by my Dean, Department chair and the administrative staff of the HCBE because it has helped me do what I do best — teaching and research.”
As the Professor of the Year, he received the following:
- Faculty Club Membership for one year
- An honorarium of $2,000
- Authorization to use the title 2014-2015 H. Wayne Huizenga College of Business and Entrepreneurship Professor of the Year
Professor Abratt represented the College of Business and competed for the President’s Distinguished Professor Award of Excellence at the 14th Annual NSU Libraries Faculty Reception on Wednesday, October 14th.
