Nova Southeastern University’s Office of International Affairs is hosting the 2015 Annual Florida Association of International Educators State Conference (FAIE) on February 19 -20. The Conference will take place at the Carl DeSantis Building on our Main Campus.
FAIE is an affiliate of NAFSA Region VII – the national organization for international educators. The main goal of this organization is to provide a common platform for all educators to share their views and to provide resources to:
- Improve awareness of international student issues.
- Provide information on international student recruitment, credential evaluation, admission, and retention trends in international education.
- Assist educators who teach English to speakers of other languages with information on community services and enrichment programs for international students and their families.
- Help coordinators of study abroad programs, advisers to students on overseas opportunities, advisers on scholarships for study and research abroad, representatives of internship abroad programs, and faculty and staff at U.S. institutions who are involved in international educational exchange.
Professionals from all Florida institutions attend this conference and there are many opportunities for sharing and learning from each other about this ever evolving field.
NSU faculty and staff who are interested in learning more about education are welcome to register and attend! FAIE Conference and registration information can be found at: http://www.faie.org/conference/
