Esau Simpson, a member of the Nova Southeastern swimming and diving team, has been selected to represent his home country of Grenada at the 2012 Summer Olympics hosted in London, England.
Simpson is slated to compete in the 100-yard freestyle event with the opening heats scheduled for July 31.
The St. David’s, Grenada native has been training six days a week at NSU with the Sharks Aquatic club team under the guidance of NSU’s head coach Hollie Bonewit-Cron. Simpson’s Monday through Saturday Olympic preparation regimen has consisted of aerobic based training, combined with speed and added power work. Complete Release
