Nova Southeastern University’s (NSU) Tampa Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) program will be hosting an event in which occupational therapists will learn the many ways to engage clients of all ages in the use of the revolutionary iPad as well as virtual reality based technology applications. Completion of the Continuing Education Unites (CEU) course is worth 6 credit hours.
Participants will be able to learn from case study examples and practical application scenarios of technology being applied in the evaluation, and treatment of persons with various diagnoses and barriers to occupation.
The continuing education event speakers are Adrienne Lauer, Ed.D., OTR/L and Rick Davenport, Ph.D., OTR/L who are both Assistant Professors at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale and Tampa respectively. The event will take place on Monday, October 24, 2011 at NSU’s Tampa Student Educational Center at 3632 Queen Palm Drive, Tampa, FL 33619. It will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost is $75 or $65 if you registered by October 3, 2011.
