FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern Women’s Team and Head Coach Kim Chavers will host an Interest Meeting for the program on Monday, August 19, in the Sharks Athletics Building Conference Room at 12:15 p.m.
NSU Rowing is a NCAA Division II Varsity Athletics program searching for the best athletes at Nova Southeastern and across the country. As a program, the Sharks have won six Sunshine State Conference titles and the 2013 NCAA Division II National Championship. Nova Southeastern reinstated the rowing program and returned to competition in the spring of 2024. Chavers guided the Sharks to a pair of titles competing at the FIRA Championships in March.
“I am excited to continue the tradition of Nova Southeastern Rowing, and the opportunity provided to student-athletes to learn and be a part of an upcoming sport,” said Chavers. “Sharks Rowing gives student-athletes a chance to be a part of a team with incredible teammates, and connections to alumni in a variety of professional fields. We develop our student-athletes, push them to accomplish goals, be their best self, and learn important life skills that can be used anywhere.”
Additionally, interested students should register for our Learn to Row Event during Waves of Welcome. This will be held on Friday, August 23rd at 4:30 p.m. in the South Court of the Rick Case Arena. Registration Link here.
