NSU’s Abraham S. Fischler School of Education announces the addition of the Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Speech-Language and Communication Disorders (SLCD). This program is designed as a pre-professional degree to meet the American Speech Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) requirements for student admission to a master’s program. The program is research-based, academic in foundation, and focused on the concepts and principles in speech, language, hearing, and human communication disorders.
Upon completion, students may apply for a position as a speech-language pathology assistant, allowing them to work under the direction of a certified and licensed master’s level speech-language pathologist in educational and health-related settings.
