In an attempt to help students and faculty learn more about what the NSU Libraries can do for them, the NSU Libraries partnered with NSU’s Office of Student Activities to take over “SEA Thursday” on April 16, 2015. This event was held in conjunction with National Library Week and provided the Libraries with an opportunity to have some fun and showcase the “unlimited possibilities” that can happen when you really know what is offered at the NSU Libraries. The event showcased everything from the Flipster database that offers FREE downloadable popular magazines to superheroes featuring the library’s graphic novel collection, sea creatures exploring the depths of the Oceanography Library to Gene the Skeleton from the HPD Library dressed in scrubs promoting health and medical resources. Over 150 students participated in the event, for a chance to win gift card prizes for coffee and books. Even Razor joined in the fun to take pictures at the photo booths and dance along with the music provided by the Radio X DJ.
Thank you to all who facilitated the event and especially our students for their participation!
