On December 2nd students at the NSU Fort Myers brightened Christmas for some young students at James Stephens International Academy (JSIA). Low income JSIA students were able to submit wish lists to Santa. Everyone knows that a toy can bring a smile to a child’s face especially during the holidays. NSU Fort Myers students responded by renewing the Angel Tree gift drive which saw enough items donated to bring a very happy holiday to 27 children ranging from ages 6-12.
So much love and effort was put into this toy drive. NSU Fort Myers Student Government officers as well as students from the Nursing program personally delivered the gifts to the elementary school where they were met by the JSIA students and a few parents. The NSU students then spent the rest of the afternoon leading the group in caroling and distributed snacks for everyone to enjoy.
This has been the 2nd year that the Student Government Association has partnered with the James Stephens International Academy to run the Angel Tree Drive.
