NSU Aquatics is offering the following courses to students, faculty, staff and the general public:
CPR/AED/First Aid for Lay Responder
This course provides individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for breathing emergencies, perform CPR, and provide basic care for injuries and sudden illness until advanced medical personnel arrive.

Lifeguard Training
This course is designed to teach skills and knowledge to prevent, recognize, and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until emergency medical services take over.

CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer
This course trains professional rescuers and healthcare providers to respond to cardiac emergencies, breathing emergencies, and provide basic care for injuries and sudden illness until more advanced medical personnel can take over.

All CPR/AED/First Aid courses will be delivered in the American Red Cross “Blended Learning” format in which participants will be taught the basic information through a web based presentation. After completing the online portion successfully participants will then attend the skill training sessions led by a American Red Cross certified instructor.
