“Books & Biscotti” at NSU’s Alvin Sherman Library is an author series where public library patrons and the NSU community get to know faculty authors beyond the classroom. In an informal and intimate setting, the authors will discuss their books which highlight life stories and unique interests.
Kicking off the series will be Professor Marlisa Santos on Thursday, Jan. 20 from 5 to 6 p.m. Santos is an associate professor and director of the Division of Humanities in NSU’s Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences.
She has published essays on film in numerous edited books, and her areas of research and teaching include film noir, classic film studies, and food and film. Her most recent project is The Dark Mirror: Psychiatry and Film Noir.
Light refreshments will be served. The author’s book, The Dark Mirror: Psychiatry and Film Noir, will be available for purchase at the event, and she will sign copies.
