The Institute for Disaster and Emergency Preparedness (IDEP) in the College of Osteopathic Medicine at Nova Southeastern University invites all NSU students to attend free hazmat training. Training is funded by the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) of the National Institutes of Health.  The overarching goal of the hazardous materials worker health and safety training is to reduce injuries and death by providing engaging and interactive safety training for individuals responding to maritime disasters and emergencies that pose health and safety risks. This is a very unique opportunity for participants to learn about health and safety, environmental protection, and protecting maritime life.  This training is being offered to all NSU students at no cost.  All participants receive a certificate upon completion.

For additional information, please refer to the follow NSU webpage: http://www.nova.edu/hazmat
