Investigation with Dr. T October Events

Join Fischler College of Education and School of Criminal Justice Associate Professor Dr. Grace Telesco as she hosts “Investigation with Dr. T,” a series where she discusses exciting topics in the field of criminal justice and beyond with guests who will bring thought-provoking programs to life. The program helps to bridge the gap between theory and practice.

This month, Dr. Telesco will host four events on October 3, 17, 24, and 31.

On Thursday, October 3, Dr. Telesco will host Crime Scene Investigation and Forensic Anthropology with Drs. Sharon Plotkin and Teresa Lilly White. This episode will explore the critical role of forensic anthropology in solving criminal cases.

On Thursday, October 17, she will host Justice Restored: Life After Exoneration. Our special guests for this episode include the director of the Center for Justice and Post Exoneration at Purdue University, Dr. Nickie Jackson and Willie McDonald, an exoneree and project manager at the Center. They will share powerful stories and insights into the challenges faced by those wrongfully convicted and the ongoing efforts to support their reintegration into society.

On Thursday, October 24, Dr. Telesco will host Healing Through Music: Inside Recovery Unplugged. This episode will feature special guests Dr. Barry Reiman, a respected mental health practitioner, and Richie Supa, former Aerosmith band member and founder of Recovery Unplugged. Learn about the unique approach that combines music therapy with traditional rehabilitation techniques to help individuals overcome drug and alcohol addiction.

On Thursday, October 31, Dr. Telesco will host Inside the Mystery: The Anatomy of a Missing Person Investigation with special guest Ed Dentzel from UNFOUND. Ed will share his extensive knowledge and experiences in uncovering the truth behind these perplexing cases. Learn about the strategies, challenges, and emotional toll involved in searching for the missing.

All of the programs will start at 7:00 p.m. and can be watched on the Live section of The Fischler College of Education and School of Criminal Justice’s YouTube Channel.
